#whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif)
In “The 355”, a team tries to work with one another to successfully complete a mission.
There's obviously some conflict before the team decides to work together.
They are essentially trying to save the end of the world.
The action/thriller/spy film is somewhat entertaining.
You get to see a lot of different parts of the world including Paris, France, London, England, UK, and Morocco.
The script is relatively straightforward with very few surprises.
Overall, if you are looking for something easy to watch, check out “The 355”.
Diane Kruger discusses her character "Marie" and Jessica's character "Mace"

"Mace is played by Jessica Chastain and I guess Marie is her most equal character in this film in terms of the missions they've done and level of work they've done. They are both Type A personalities.  They do not like each other very much. Over the course of the movie they start to trust each other and gain each other's respect. It's a beautiful cat and mouse relationship."

"Part of what is exciting about the film is that each one of us comes from a different country and speaks a different language. We have all these different language skills that are being put to use in this movie so from the get go you feel like this film has an international scope in an international story that hopefully will appeal to a very broad audience."

Edgar Ramirez discusses playing his character "Luis"

"The movie is shot in different languages. We switch from one language to another. It was so much fun to do the action scenes on location in one of the most beautiful cities in the world ... Paris.

Producer Jessica Chastain discusses The 355 and her character "Mace"

"355 was the identity code name for the first female spy during the American revolution. She was a real person but her real name remains a mystery to this day."

"Mace is a CIA agent who is definitely used to working alone. She can be a bit ruthless. Like Marie, she has to learn to trust others. She is very quick-witted, funny and protective of her friends.

"355 takes place all over the world.  We see Colombia, the United States, England, Paris, Morocco and Shanghai."

Lupita Nyong'o discusses her character "Khadijah"

"My character is an agent with the MI6. She is trying to create a program that can not only protect but predict possible digital warfare and weaponry. She's very intelligent and extremely passionate about digital security. She is extremely skilled in what she does and one of the best in the world."

Sebastian Stan who plays "Nick Fowler" discusses The 355

"355...it's a film about espionage and saving the world from going to bits"

"Jessica Chastain had this idea that she wanted to make this movie. She took it to Simon and they built on it and they brought everybody together and they raised the money independently together."

Penelope Cruz who plays "Graciela" discusses The 355

"355 is about this incredible group of women with powerful skills. They have to get together and need to be together to kind of save the world."
