Chloe (2022) Mam Tor Productions, Amazon Studios BBC One, Prime Video Social Media #Chloe #PrimeVideo Release date Friday, June 24, on Amazon Prime Video #whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif) Chloe is an interesting drama.  I wasn't blown away when I was watching it ... but it was fascinating. Becky (Erin Doherty) has a stressful life.  She is struggling with getting work, is low on funds, and dealing with a mother with dementia. In her spare time, she goes on her phone to keep an eye on social media.  She visits Instagram to essentially compare herself to others.  One of her favourites on Instagram is Chloe. One day, Becky (who likes to visit Chloe's Instagram account and is her most dedicated social media follower) finds out that Chloe dies. Apparently, she committed suicide and Becky wants to know why ... She decides to create a fake identity and work with Chloe’s friends (who she never met) to find out what happened.   Can Becky live Chl...

Interview with AMERICAN HORROR STORY Naomi Grossman

Interview with AMERICAN HORROR STORY Naomi Grossman Today on #whatonwhatsgood with Jovin Tardif, I am here with Naomi Grossman . You may know Naomi from her role in Ctrl Alt Delete . Grossman also plays "Pepper" on FX's American Horror Story : Asylum & Freak Show. She also appeared as a new character, the Satanist "Samantha Crowe" in the eighth season, Apocalypse. Today, we discuss her new film romantic comedy BITE ME! available now, and much more. 1. What do you love about acting? That’s a really good question.  I have to remind myself of the answer regularly!  Because there’s a lot of things I don’t love about this business.  But at the risk of sounding cheesy, I think it’s just what I was put here to do.  I'm a performer through and through— like us vampires in “Bite Me” get our energy from blood, I get my energy from an audience.  The validation of applause… the gratification of laughter… the knowledge you’ve touched people… it’s intoxicating.  I...

Somebody Feed Phil Netflix SEASON 5 PREMIERE May 25, 2022 #whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif) Philip Rosenthal's (creator of Everybody Loves Raymond) personality is incredible.  What a positive human being.  He’s always happy.  I love it.  In his documentary series, Phil eats random food worldwide and loves it.  He’s not an expert but he's highly entertaining and enjoys meeting new people.   In Season 5, Phil travels to five different countries to try their food and learn about their culture.  Each episode is delightful and easy to watch.  You might even want to travel after watching the series. Servant   Blinding Edge Pictures/Escape Artists/Dolphin Black Productions Apple Inc./Apple TV+ Express Review "Servant is creepy.  I guess it's what we should expect from M. Night Shyamalan.  The story follows Philadelphia married couple, Dorothy (Lauren Ambrose) and Sean Turner (Toby Kebbell), whose child (Jericho) is deceased.  Following the death of their son,  Dorothy uses a baby doll as a coping mechanism.  Before Jericho’s passing, she hired an 18-year-old Leanne Grayson (Nell Tiger Free) to be their nanny. Leanne is not what you think.  I am not actually sure how to explain her to you but she can turn a doll into a real baby.  How does she do it?  Who is she?"  Created by Tony Basgallop Written by Tony Basgallop, Nina Braddock, Ishana Night Shyamalan Starring Lauren Ambrose as Dorothy Turner (née Pearce) Toby Kebbell as Sean Turner Nell Tiger Free as Leanne Grayson Rupert Grint as Julian Pearce Sunita Mani as Vera Jack and ...

TV Series Review: Deadloch

By
Image
Deadloch Amazon Studios, OK Great Productions, Guesswork Television Amazon Prime Video #whatonwhatsgood Express Review Deadloch is an Australian comedy/crime show. It is set in a town called Deadloch, Tasmania.  In the first episode, Trent Latham (Barry Wheeler) is found naked and dead on a beach.  The question is can Sergeant Dulcie Collins (Kate Box) and Det. Eddie Redcliffe (Madeleine Sami) work together to solve the mystery?  It's a whodunnit. Enjoy! Description Deadloch is an eight-part crime comedy. When a local man turns up dead on a beach, two vastly different detectives are thrown together to solve the case. Deadloch puts a comedic spin on the crime genre, completely flipping it and challenging the tropes of the genre. It’s a compelling mystery with The Kates’ signature humour, and explores themes of truth, misogyny, gender, and race. The series features a large ensemble cast led by Kate Box (Fires, Wentworth), Madeleine Sami (The Breaker Upperers), Nina Oyama ...
