Interview with Comedian Gary Robinson Today on What On What's Good with Jovin Tardif, I am here with Award-Winning Writer, Director, Producer, Editor, Photographer & Comedian Gary Robinson.  In our interview, we discuss what inspired him to get into the entertainment industry,  interning at The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, his video production company, being a stand-up comedian and much more. 1. What first inspired you to be in the entertainment industry? Like many people my age, I was really inspired by the first Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies.  Star Wars showed how you could create a realistic and exciting story that takes place anywhere and at any time.  Finally, it felt like “realistic” creative storytelling was really only limited by our imagination.  And for a young boy, Raiders of the Lost Ark really took you on an adventure, far beyond the realities of daily life.  Those movies made me realize I wanted to tell stories, and inspire people, in whatever forms I could util

ComedyCon Behind The Scenes of Kim's Convenience By: Jovin Tardif ComedyCon Behind The Scenes of Kim's Convenience was held on September 22, 2019, as part of Just For Laughs 42 hosted by CBC.  It is a chance to see the cast from a whole new perspective.  A kind of show to find out who is Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Jean Yoon, Andrew Phung, Andrea Bang, and Nicole Power.  The event started off with a sneak peek of Season 4.  I actually had to sign a document and was surrounded by security in order to make sure I didn't record this gem.  No spoilers, sorry not sorry. What I learned from this event is that Paul, Jean, and Andrew seem like they are very laid-back individuals.  I was shocked to find out that Andrea Bang is an introvert.  I just presumed that her personality was similar to what you see on television.
