The Dropout Elizabeth Meriwether Pictures/Semi-Formal Productions/20th Television/Searchlight Television Disney Platform Distribution/Hulu Genre Drama #whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif) 'The Dropout' tells the story of Elizabeth Holmes (Amanda Seyfried).   The series basically explores the rise and fall of Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos. Her goal was to create a blood diagnostic technology that will be able to run hundreds of tests on a single drop of blood.  Her technology never worked.   I must say, Amanda Seyfried does an amazing portrayal of Elizabeth Holmes.  The story allows you to see Holmes in high school, as a college freshman, and eventually a businesswoman. The Good Doctor follows a young man named Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) who happens to have Autism and Savant syndrome.  The series begins with a bit of tension.  Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff), Shaun's mentor and paternal figure, is trying to help him get a job as a pediatric surgical resident at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital.  The head of surgery, Dr. Horace Andrews (Hill Harper) seems hesitant and give Dr. Glassman an ultimatum.  They will hire Dr. Shaun Murphy but if he fails or messes up, Dr. Glassman has to resign as president and Shaun will be fired.   From episode to episode, Dr. Murphy proves that he belongs.  We...

Once a proud finishing school for aspiring pro wrestlers, the gym has since hit hard times. Acclaimed wrestler Al Snow clings to an old-school wrestling philosophy with a heavy emphasis on storytelling, but in spite of the love of a few diehard fans, the gym struggles week to week to stay relevant enough to keep its doors open. Black Ice First Take Entertainment, Uninterrupted Canada, Black Ice Productions Elevation Pictures Release date September 10, 2022 Black Ice #whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif) In Hubert Davis's Black Ice, amateur and professional players discuss the racist abuse they faced while playing hockey.  Hockey players talk about moments with fans, opponents, and coaches.   In one instance in the film, Akim Ali shared an experience with his former coach Bill Peters.  The coach came into the locker room when he heard music from Lil Wayne playing in the locker room.  Peters came over aggressively to turn off the music.  When Akim admitted that he was playing the music, Bill said a racial slur in front of some of the team. The documentary also has others like P.K.
