'The Dropout' tells the story of Elizabeth Holmes (Amanda Seyfried).   The series basically explores the rise and fall of Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos.

Her goal was to create a blood diagnostic technology that will be able to run hundreds of tests on a single drop of blood.  Her technology never worked.  

I must say, Amanda Seyfried does an amazing portrayal of Elizabeth Holmes.  The story allows you to see Holmes in high school, as a college freshman, and eventually a businesswoman.

If you like Netflix’s “Inventing Anna" or  Showtime’s “Super Pumped” you will definitely like "The Dropout". 

If you want to learn more about the story, make sure to check out the HBO documentary 'The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley' (2019) directed and produced by Alex Gibney.  

IRL - Elizabeth Holmes was recently found guilty on four charges of defrauding investors in her $10 billion MedTech startup Theranos.
