Servant   Blinding Edge Pictures/Escape Artists/Dolphin Black Productions Apple Inc./Apple TV+ Express Review "Servant is creepy.  I guess it's what we should expect from M. Night Shyamalan.  The story follows Philadelphia married couple, Dorothy (Lauren Ambrose) and Sean Turner (Toby Kebbell), whose child (Jericho) is deceased.  Following the death of their son,  Dorothy uses a baby doll as a coping mechanism.  Before Jericho’s passing, she hired an 18-year-old Leanne Grayson (Nell Tiger Free) to be their nanny. Leanne is not what you think.  I am not actually sure how to explain her to you but she can turn a doll into a real baby.  How does she do it?  Who is she?"  Created by Tony Basgallop Written by Tony Basgallop, Nina Braddock, Ishana Night Shyamalan Starring Lauren Ambrose as Dorothy Turner (née Pearce) Toby Kebbell as Sean Turner Nell Tiger Free as Leanne Grayson Rupert Grint as Julian Pearce Sunita Mani as Vera Jack and ...

Somebody Feed Phil Netflix SEASON 5 PREMIERE May 25, 2022 #whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif) Philip Rosenthal's (creator of Everybody Loves Raymond) personality is incredible.  What a positive human being.  He’s always happy.  I love it.  In his documentary series, Phil eats random food worldwide and loves it.  He’s not an expert but he's highly entertaining and enjoys meeting new people.   In Season 5, Phil travels to five different countries to try their food and learn about their culture.  Each episode is delightful and easy to watch.  You might even want to travel after watching the series. Chloe (2022) Mam Tor Productions, Amazon Studios BBC One, Prime Video Social Media #Chloe #PrimeVideo Release date Friday, June 24, on Amazon Prime Video #whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif) Chloe is an interesting drama.  I wasn't blown away when I was watching it ... but it was fascinating. Becky (Erin Doherty) has a stressful life.  She is struggling with getting work, is low on funds, and dealing with a mother with dementia. In her spare time, she goes on her phone to keep an eye on social media.  She visits Instagram to essentially compare herself to others.  One of her favourites on Instagram is Chloe. One day, Becky (who likes to visit Chloe's Instagram account and is her most dedicated social media follower) finds out that Chloe dies. Apparently, she committed suicide and Becky wants to know why ... She decides to create a fake identity and work with Chloe’s friends (who she never met) to find out what happened.   Can Becky live Chl...

Interview with AMERICAN HORROR STORY Naomi Grossman

Interview with AMERICAN HORROR STORY Naomi Grossman Today on #whatonwhatsgood with Jovin Tardif, I am here with Naomi Grossman . You may know Naomi from her role in Ctrl Alt Delete . Grossman also plays "Pepper" on FX's American Horror Story : Asylum & Freak Show. She also appeared as a new character, the Satanist "Samantha Crowe" in the eighth season, Apocalypse. Today, we discuss her new film romantic comedy BITE ME! available now, and much more. 1. What do you love about acting? That’s a really good question.  I have to remind myself of the answer regularly!  Because there’s a lot of things I don’t love about this business.  But at the risk of sounding cheesy, I think it’s just what I was put here to do.  I'm a performer through and through— like us vampires in “Bite Me” get our energy from blood, I get my energy from an audience.  The validation of applause… the gratification of laughter… the knowledge you’ve touched people… it’s intoxicating.  I...

Untold: Jail Blazers - Release April 14th, 2026

Untold: Jail Blazers Release April 14th, 2026 I watched the documentary, and it really made me think. I kept wondering if the NBA players were actually as bad as people said, or if the media made them look worse than they were. Some players did have real problems off the court. Rasheed Wallace sometimes got into trouble, and Damon Stoudamire also had issues, including marijuana charges. That’s why the team got the nickname “Jail Blazers” during the late 1990s and early 2000s. The name came from a lot of off-court problems like drug possession, legal issues, and heated moments with referees. There were serious incidents, too. Ruben Patterson pleaded guilty to attempted rape in 2001, and Qyntel Woods was involved in an animal abuse case. There were also problems inside the team. At one point in practice, Zach Randolph punched Ruben Patterson and broke his eye socket. The team was very good, but there was a lot of fighting and problems with control. Even with all this, they were a strong ...

Film Review: Boston Strangler

By

Boston Strangler 20th Century Studios, Scott Free Productions, LuckyChap Entertainment Hulu Release date March 17, 2023 Description Loretta McLaughlin was the reporter who broke the story of the Boston Strangler. Along with reporter Jean Cole, McLaughlin challenged the sexism of the era, pursuing the story at personal risk and uncovering corruption that cast doubt on the identity of the strangler. #whatonwhatsgood Express Review The Boston Strangler murdered 13 women in the Boston, Massachusetts area in the 1960s.  The Boston Strangler movie follows Loretta McLaughlin (Keira Knightley) and fellow reporter Jean Cole (Carrie Coon) who are trying to get the story out about who is doing these crimes.   Unfortunately, they are met with many challenges from men in order to tell their narrative. Boston Strangler is a decent film.  I like the pairing of Keira Knightley and Carrie Coon. Directed by Matt Ruskin Written by Matt Ruskin Produced by Ridley Scott, Kevin ...
