#whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif)

In Ted K, Director Tony Stone introduces you to “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski (Sharlto Copley).  Ted is living off the grid in the Montana mountains to get away from all the noise. He just wants to be alone in a quiet and peaceful environment in his 10×12 cabin.  Unfortunately, things don't go his way.

In his first act because of the noise of the snowmobiles, he breaks into a neighbor's home and vandalizes their vehicles.

Ted continues to try to cure his pain with vengeance.  He targets people he believes are harming the environment or advancing technology.  Kaczynski gathers materials and starts to create bombs.

Between 1978 and 1995, he killed three people and injured 23 others.  In 1995, he sends a letter to The New York Times and promised to stop the terrorism if the Times or The Washington Post published his essay "Industrial Society and Its Future".  After reading the essay, David (Kaczynski's brother) suspects Ted is the Unabomber and reports it to the FBI.  In 1996, Kaczynski is arrested at his cabin near Lincoln, Montana.

Overall, I thought filmmaker Stone does a fantastic job of showing how sound disrupts Ted's life with the use of airplane flies over, leaf blowers, snowmobiles, the noise of traffic, etc...

Director Tony Stone really lets you see through the eyes of Ted.

If you get a chance, go check it out.
