#whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif | What On What's Good)

I'm just going to say right off the bat that I'm a huge fan of the 1992 classic A League of Their Own starring Geena Davis and Tom Hanks. I hope this doesn't affect my opinion of the series.

In the series, Carson (Abbi Jacobson) leaves her husband to join the All American Girls Baseball League (AAGBL) the Rockford Peaches. She's a relatively shy individual. Her character grows quite a lot during the show. I think you will definitely like the character development.

She meets Greta (D’Arcy Carden) and Jo (Melanie Field) in Chicago. Some of their characteristics are quite similar to Mae and Doris in the film.

I particularly liked Max Chapman (Chante Adams) and Clance Morgan (Gbemisola Ikumelo) who are best friends on the show. Max wants to be a pitcher and Clance loves to create her own comic books. Their friendship is remarkable and you are cheering for them throughout the series.

The series is quite easy to watch and I'm looking forward to Season 2. It's different than the film but it's worth the watch.
