For those who want to get to learn more about evil on the internet, you might want to check this out.  Hunter Moore created the website 'isanyoneup?' where people can submit inappropriate photos or videos online of others.  The point of the website was to ruin people's lives.  Moore quickly became the most hated man on the internet.  The mini-series focuses on the mother and daughter who went after Hunter to end this madness.

"The Most Hated Man On The Internet" is a decent docu-series. Some of the interviews were quite engaging.  Some of the archival footage and shots of Hunter really helped to get the message of this atrocity.  It's not the best documentary of the year, but it’s a fascinating true-crime story.

Director Rob Miller discusses 'The Most Hated Man on the Internet'

It all goes back to that idea of compassion and the danger that the internet can destroy empathy. I’m hoping that the next time your cursor is blinking and you're tempted to say something hurtful, be reminded that there's a human being at the other end who will suffer the consequences and who will be distraught by what you might be creating online.

I also hope that the bravery of the women who were posted is acknowledged and that other people who found themselves in a similar predicament take some strength from people coming forward and telling their stories. Particularly the emphasis we placed on it not being their fault. Whether you were hacked or you took a photo and sent it to someone because you were in love with them, and they subsequently turned around and did something awful to you, it's not your fault. It's not something that you should be ashamed about. It's something that you were a victim of and you are entitled to sympathy and respect and support. They are just extraordinary people to come forward and they also demonstrate that there is a life after revenge porn.  I think any story which involves someone fighting against the odds, doing something brave, not accepting the status quo, and holding people that have done something wrong to account, that in itself is an inspiring story.

Producer Vikki Miller discusses 'The Most Hated Man on the Internet'

I want people to be fascinated and moved by the series, and for them to see how pernicious and destructive intimate image abuse is. Even though this story took place over 10 years ago, it’s still happening on a massive scale now. I want people to stop and think about what the impact will be before they send their ex-girlfriend’s nudes to their WhatsApp groups, or websites where these images are now traded like Pokémon cards. Please listen to what these people went through, and don’t make someone you know suffer like that.

And on a more positive note, I want people to take action on the issues they feel strongly about. Charlotte never took no for an answer and through doggedness and hard work she achieved her goal. And the “victims” featured in this series took action by speaking out and sharing what they went through in order to stop it happening again. Fight for what you believe in!

Executive Producer Alex Marengo discusses 'The Most Hated Man on the Internet'

I'd like them to feel outraged, but triumphant. And for the women involved, what I really hope is that in the end — whilst yes, they were very badly treated and in that respect they're victims — they're not victims anymore, they are survivors - victors in a way. This was a powerful part of wanting to make the series, that these people would have their voices. I feel happy that they have told their stories. That to me, is an incredibly positive thing.
