Abby Ryder Fortson - "Margaret"
"I think the thing that really drew me to the project was the feeling that we can all connect to the story of Margaret. We are all going through that time in our lives when we're figuring things out and trying to build the pieces of ourselves together.
That's what I really connected with, and as soon as I read it. I knew that this was the kind of project that I wanted to be a part of."
Kelly Fremon Craig - Director & Julie Ansell - Producer
"Abby, who plays Margaret is just...she's a revelation. She's gonna be a star. The kid is so good. Rachel McAdams is just incredible. Kathy Bates...I think this is maybe the funniest thing she's ever done."
Rachel McAdams - "Barbara Simon"
"It's such an iconic book. She has a lot of guilt of not being a stay-at home mom...especially in the 70s...she is sort of putting her art on the side so that she can be the perfect mom. She's grappling with a little bit of an identity crisis."

Untold: Jail Blazers Release April 14th, 2026 I watched the documentary, and it really made me think. I kept wondering if the NBA players were actually as bad as people said, or if the media made them look worse than they were. Some players did have real problems off the court. Rasheed Wallace sometimes got into trouble, and Damon Stoudamire also had issues, including marijuana charges. That’s why the team got the nickname “Jail Blazers” during the late 1990s and early 2000s. The name came from a lot of off-court problems like drug possession, legal issues, and heated moments with referees. There were serious incidents, too. Ruben Patterson pleaded guilty to attempted rape in 2001, and Qyntel Woods was involved in an animal abuse case. There were also problems inside the team. At one point in practice, Zach Randolph punched Ruben Patterson and broke his eye socket. The team was very good, but there was a lot of fighting and problems with control. Even with all this, they were a strong ...
Boston Strangler 20th Century Studios, Scott Free Productions, LuckyChap Entertainment Hulu Release date March 17, 2023 Description Loretta McLaughlin was the reporter who broke the story of the Boston Strangler. Along with reporter Jean Cole, McLaughlin challenged the sexism of the era, pursuing the story at personal risk and uncovering corruption that cast doubt on the identity of the strangler. #whatonwhatsgood Express Review The Boston Strangler murdered 13 women in the Boston, Massachusetts area in the 1960s. The Boston Strangler movie follows Loretta McLaughlin (Keira Knightley) and fellow reporter Jean Cole (Carrie Coon) who are trying to get the story out about who is doing these crimes. Unfortunately, they are met with many challenges from men in order to tell their narrative. Boston Strangler is a decent film. I like the pairing of Keira Knightley and Carrie Coon. Directed by Matt Ruskin Written by Matt Ruskin Produced by Ridley Scott, Kevin ...

Bel-Air Season 1 No. of episodes: 10 #whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif) Bel-Air is a dramatic version of the '90s comedy sitcom 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air'. It's about a young Will Smith who has to go to L.A. because of some issues happening in Philadelphia. Just like in the original series, Will (Jabari Banks) has to get used to his new surroundings with his wealthy family in Los Angeles. The series is interesting and they made some adjustments to the characters. Uncle Phil (Adrian Holmes) is slightly different in this show. He's strict but fair. He also has a few secrets. Aunt Vivian (Cassandra Freeman) plays a similar role to the 90's sitcom where she helps everyone try to accomplish their goals and become successful. The only difference in this show is that she used to paint and she stopped doing it to help Uncle Phil with his political career. Carlton (Olly Sholotan) was a bit of a shock to me. I was so used to his ...
Christmas in the Square 2019 By: Jovin Tardif November 30, 2019 I love the holidays, but I also understand the bigger picture. We are all extremely blessed this time of year. We are making our list and checking it twice. Everyone is running around on Black Friday looking for the latest gadgets, new fashion, great deals, and gifts for the family. It's the most wonderful time of the year. However, there are others that aren't as fortunate. They could be in a tougher situation and they need your help. After meeting the Salvation Army at Hope in the City, I was informed of another event that was happening in our city on Friday, November 29th, 2019 at Yonge-Dundas Square, 1 Dundas St E, Toronto. Starting at 11:30am, you can head over to Yonge-Dundas Square, enjoy the festivities, a warm cup of hot chocolate and hang out with your friends at CTV and the Salvation Army. You had the opportunity to participate in sing-alongs to Celebrat...
Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story Prospect Films, Ryan Murphy Productions Netflix Release date September 21, 2022 No. of episodes 10 Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story Express Review by: Jovin Tardif | What On What's Good American serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer murdered 17 victims between 1978 and 1991. This biographical crime drama series 'Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story' shows you how it all happened. Dahmer also known as the “Milwaukee Monster” would take men home, drug them, dismember them and either keep the body parts as trophies or eat them. It's really disturbing stuff. Jeffrey was almost caught on several occasions but somehow managed to slip through the cracks. The mini-series also explores how the police handled this situation. Could law enforcement have prevented these killings? Should they have acted sooner rather than later? Eventually, Dahmer gets caught and the police finally searched his ...

Interview with singer and actor Ian Lake Today on What On What's Good with Jovin Tardif , I am here with Ian Lake . His latest single is “more” from his debut album What It Is . You may have seen Ian as Bolton from Locke and Key on Netflix or Tolor on Star Trek: Discovery on Netflix. In our #cinqquestion interview, we discuss songwriting tips, behind-the-scenes at Locke & Key, a future short film, and much more. 1. Do you have any songwriting tips for new artists? I think the most important thing when you’re writing any song is just to follow your first impulses without judging if it’s the best lyric or the best melody, even if it doesn’t feel great at the moment. I usually find if I’m trying to come up with the perfect lyric, I’ll usually get stuck and stop writing. But if I just write whatever comes, I can always go back and fix what’s not feeling right after. And don’t worry about structure. Not everything has to follow the traditional, ve...
The Neighborhood Mud, Blood & Beer Productions/A Bird and a Bear Entertainment/Kapital Entertainment/Trill Television CBS Studios/CBS #whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif) "The Neighborhood on CBS is about a friendly Midwestern couple (Dave and Gemma Johnson) and their son Grover (Hank Greenspan) who move to a neighborhood in Los Angeles. Gemma (Beth Behrs) got a new job as a school principal in L.A. Dave Johnson (Max Greenfield) is just about the friendliest guy in the world. I don't think anyone can dislike him. Well one person can... They have a pretty opinionated next-door neighbor, the grouchy mechanic Calvin Butler (Cedric the Entertainer). He has a wife named Tina (Tichina Arnold) and two sons Marty (Marcel Spears) and Malcolm (Sheaun McKinney). Dave is desperately trying to fit in with the community. Will the Johnsons be accepted by everyone? The series is quite amusing. Tina as Calvin's wife is fun as she keeps...
