Abby Ryder Fortson - "Margaret"
"I think the thing that really drew me to the project was the feeling that we can all connect to the story of Margaret. We are all going through that time in our lives when we're figuring things out and trying to build the pieces of ourselves together.
That's what I really connected with, and as soon as I read it. I knew that this was the kind of project that I wanted to be a part of."
Kelly Fremon Craig - Director & Julie Ansell - Producer
"Abby, who plays Margaret is just...she's a revelation. She's gonna be a star. The kid is so good. Rachel McAdams is just incredible. Kathy Bates...I think this is maybe the funniest thing she's ever done."
Rachel McAdams - "Barbara Simon"
"It's such an iconic book. She has a lot of guilt of not being a stay-at home mom...especially in the 70s...she is sort of putting her art on the side so that she can be the perfect mom. She's grappling with a little bit of an identity crisis."

Bel-Air Season 1 No. of episodes: 10 #whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif) Bel-Air is a dramatic version of the '90s comedy sitcom 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air'. It's about a young Will Smith who has to go to L.A. because of some issues happening in Philadelphia. Just like in the original series, Will (Jabari Banks) has to get used to his new surroundings with his wealthy family in Los Angeles. The series is interesting and they made some adjustments to the characters. Uncle Phil (Adrian Holmes) is slightly different in this show. He's strict but fair. He also has a few secrets. Aunt Vivian (Cassandra Freeman) plays a similar role to the 90's sitcom where she helps everyone try to accomplish their goals and become successful. The only difference in this show is that she used to paint and she stopped doing it to help Uncle Phil with his political career. Carlton (Olly Sholotan) was a bit of a shock to me. I was so used to his ...
Black-ish ABC Signature/Khalabo Ink Society/Cinema Gypsy Productions/Principato-Young Entertainment (2014–18) Artists First (2018–)/Disney–ABC Domestic Television #whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif) "Black-ish is about an upper-middle-class Black family. It includes marketing exec Andre “Dre” Johnson (Anthony Anderson), anesthesiologist and Andre's wife Rainbow (Tracee Ellis Ross), their eldest daughter Zoey (Yara Shahidi) their nerdy son Junior (Marcus Scribner), and their twins Jack (Miles Brown) and Diane (Marsai Martin). Throughout the show, Dre is always concerned about raising his children "right" and loves to get others' opinions including his father (Laurence Fishburne), his mother (Jenifer Lewis), his boss Leslie Stevens (Peter Mackenzie), his co-workers Josh Oppenhol (Jeff Meacham) and Charlie Telphy (Deon Cole) and family members, neighbors and many more. I must say Black-ish definitely tackles topics you don't really see on te...

But his dad says no. While talking to his father, Casey learns that his dad's boss, Mrs. Dixon, will be out of town for the weekend. Hugh's boss is extremely wealthy and has tons of jewelry. We meet his drug addict girlfriend Annabelle ( Jacqi Vene ) and find out she is pregnant. Desperate to provide for his girlfriend and unborn child, Casey decides he wants to rob Mrs. Dixon’s house. In Casey's mind, stealing seems like the only solution because they’re broke and meth addicts. The Neighborhood Mud, Blood & Beer Productions/A Bird and a Bear Entertainment/Kapital Entertainment/Trill Television CBS Studios/CBS #whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif) "The Neighborhood on CBS is about a friendly Midwestern couple (Dave and Gemma Johnson) and their son Grover (Hank Greenspan) who move to a neighborhood in Los Angeles. Gemma (Beth Behrs) got a new job as a school principal in L.A. Dave Johnson (Max Greenfield) is just about the friendliest guy in the world. I don't think anyone can dislike him. Well one person can... They have a pretty opinionated next-door neighbor, the grouchy mechanic Calvin Butler (Cedric the Entertainer). He has a wife named Tina (Tichina Arnold) and two sons Marty (Marcel Spears) and Malcolm (Sheaun McKinney). Dave is desperately trying to fit in with the community. Will the Johnsons be accepted by everyone? The series is quite amusing. Tina as Calvin's wife is fun as she keeps...

Inventing Anna Shondaland Netflix #whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by: Jovin Tardif) It was a bit silly but for some reason, I binged all nine episodes and I'm sure you will do the same. Inventing Anna tells the story of Anna Sorokin, a.k.a. Anna Delvey. Anna is known as the woman who swindled New York’s elite out of more than $200,000. She told everyone that she was a wealthy German heiress and that she wanted to start her own foundation. We later learn that she didn't have a penny to her name. Reporter Vivian Kent (Anna Chlumsky) with some occasional assistance from co-workers Maud (Anna Deavere Smith), Lou (Jeff Perry), and Barry (Terry Kinney) spend 9 episodes trying to figure out who Anna is through interviews with friends and acquaintances. My only comment is that I didn't really like Ozark’s Julia Garner accent as Anna Delvey. However, at the same time, if she was tricking everyone maybe that's the reason she had such a unique acc...

Dawson's latest release is "Kissed Me Like That" (Produced by Dan Swinimer and Written by Madeline Merlo, Emma-Lee and Lindsay Rimes). In our #cinqquestion interview, we discuss her creative process, musical influences, possible future collaborations and much more. 1. Can you tell us about your creative process? My creative process definitely changes quite a bit! A lot of the time, I will jot down any concepts, lines or ideas down to circle back to later. Whether it’s with a co-writer or when I sit down for a solo write. I’m definitely a melody person and find that this is one of my favorite ways to bring a song to life. I find that as much as the songs I write can change so much based on concept and melodies but I love co-writing so much as it can help bring to life a whole new p...
