Jurassic World Dominion unites the old and new cast. It includes the original three, Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), and Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) with Owen Grady (Chris Pratt), Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon).

Essentially the group meets to try to handle the dinosaurs that are roaming the earth. Can they all co-exist to solve the issue? Will Dr. Alan and Dr. Ellie reconnect or will Dr. Ian get in the way...again?  Can Claire and Owen's daughter Maisie get on the same page?  Can this team stop Biosyn which is led by the incredibly shady and evil Lewis Dodgson (Campbell Scott)?

Kayla Watts (DeWanda Wise) and Ramsay Cole (Mamoudou Athie) are a nice addition and did a fantastic job assisting the group.

Director Colin Trevorrow did a fantastic job with all the dinosaurs. The dinosaurs look amazing. Prehistoric creatures in the film include Allosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Apatosaurus, Atrociraptor, Baryonyx, Brachiosaurus, Carnotaurus, Compsognathus, Dilophosaurus, Dimetrodon, Dimorphodon, Dreadnoughtus, Gallimimus, Giant locust, Giganotosaurus, Iguanodon, Lystrosaurus, Microceratus, Moros, Mosasaurus, Nasutoceratops, Oviraptor, Parasaurolophus, Pteranodon, Pyroraptor, Quetzalcoatlus, Sinoceratops, Stegosaurus, Stygimoloch, Therizinosaurus, Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus rex and Velociraptor.

The cast and others discuss Jurassic World: Dominion

BD Wong "Dr. Henry Wu" discusses Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)

With a character like this that is known already, reintroducing this character and trying to tell some kind of story with him.  His presence physically is important, and so what we've done is create a different version of the same person, so that one can, and without saying a lot, understand somehow visually, that a lot of time has passed and a lot of there has been a change within him.

He is a scientist which I equate with kind of being like an artist in a corporate environment, and the corporate environment is mandating his actions and his work.

Bryce Dallas Howard "Claire Dearing" discusses the dinosaurs in Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)
There have never been more dinosaurs than there are in Dominion...like a maximum amount of dinosaurs in this movie.  Dinosaurs are everywhere. You see dinosaurs in snow.  You see dinosaurs in cities.

There are more characters because there are more set pieces.

You haven't seen Jurassic like this ever before.

Campbell Scott "Lewis Dodgson" discusses Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)

Obviously, I went and looked at some of the things that people were saying about him.  A lot of the stuff was interesting about the books and even people who had written comments from the first movie.

You know, if Dodgson ever comes back how we'll be involved.

Lewis has now become the CEO of a genetic research science company. They operate kind of on the shady side.

Chris Pratt - "Owen Grady" discusses Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)

Jurassic films have always been emerging of science and imagination.

Jurassic is a massive movie.  We truly have spared no expense. We have amazing action services.  We have amazing dinosaur sequences. We have heart, humor, and innovative technology.

We have more dinosaurs than you've ever seen in a Jurassic film.  New dinosaurs new characters.

What makes this final movie so special...the danger.

We're dealing with this technology, being in the wrong hands.

Colin Trevorrow - Director / Writer discusses Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)

The most important decision that any of us made was that we were going to take these characters we love and thrust them into a new adventure and send them into danger yet again. They weren't going to be observing this from afar.  They were going to be engaged from the very beginning. The plot actually is driven by Ellie and Grant's Story.

In this film, even though we have more animatronics than ever, we have more dinosaurs species than ever.

If a new dinosaur is coming into the film it's going to get heroes entrance just like the actors.

The thing that makes people love dinosaur movies, in general, is that we know they were real, you know they're not aliens, they're not monsters, they were real animals that existed on this planet.  So when you see them on the screen you feel like you're watching something that's actually happening.

Dewanda Wise "Kayla Watts" discusses Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)

Kayla is a contract pilot. She often works for corporations. She sells dinosaurs at the underground market.

I'm interested in the moral compass. I love this question of you know, being a hero, and this notion of morality.  Kayla isn't perfect at all.

I feel beyond honored to join this franchise. I nerd status went and read the books afterward.

Frank Marshall - Producer discusses cast in Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)

The first thing they asked was "is it a cameo?" and we said, "No, no, it's a real role".  Once they heard that they were actually in the movie for a bit, and working together, they were totally in. They love these movies. They love this franchise, and the fact that they could all be back together in one big story was very appealing.

One of the great things about having dinosaurs in the movie is that you're never going to run out of them.

Isabella Sermon "Maisie Lockwood" discusses Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)

Maisie's grown up.  I've grown up with Claire as a mother who's like a really strong fierce very independent woman, and also Ellie, who's so intellectual and clever and also really strong and powerful.

The threat levels and the danger levels are so much higher in this film because the dinosaurs are walking amongst us.

In normal Jurassic films, you have to deal with the dinosaurs in a closed space.  In this film, the dinosaurs are sort of part of the humanity that we live in.  I think that makes it a lot more interesting.

Jeff Goldblum - "Dr. Ian Malcolm" discusses Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)

I'm terrifically affectionate towards Sam Neill.  I adore him. He's a nice fella...an interesting fellow... a beautiful man inside and out.  He's accomplished. His career is impressive and spectacular.  He's an international treasure. He's worked with so many interesting people.

What can you say about the great Laura Dern?  I look forward to the next decades of what she's going to do. I can imagine it's golden.  She's just great. She's always growing as a genuine artist and as an actor, humanistic activist, orator, articulator, and passionate member of the human family. She's just as impressive and inspirational and admirable a figure as anybody I can think of. A dear friend I'll tell you.

Colin...Colin Trevorrow...he's good.  He's a good director. These are wonderful directors, he not only is a young man with extreme radical talent and intelligence but sensitivity and humility and sweetness, and decisive confidence in working with actors.  At least I feel like I have a very sympathico relationship with him.

Laura Dern - "Dr. Ellie Sattler" discusses Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)

I met Colin and he sort of hinted something to me.  Stephen Spielberg then called me more formally to ask.  You know how I would feel about the idea of Ellie Sattler returning along with a couple of her buddies. I was really excited by the idea.

I think we all wanted her to return with a new sense of self and have advanced as a character in her life and in her work.

What it means for her to be divorced, having raised kids single and dependent.

Colin really wanted to go back to the feeling of the original film. To complete this story with that same tactile, incredible gift of animatronics. He has John Nolan, creating genius and magic with a team of extraordinary artists. You walk on set and you are either completely disgusted, in awe or both.  You're seeing something you can't believe is there?  Sometimes it's magical and so sweet and sometimes it's your worst nightmare.

Mamoudou Athie - "Ramsay Cole" discusses Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)

Ramsey's job is the head of communications which apparently covers a wide array of responsibilities.

Colin is fascinating because he knows so much about the camera as well as just talking with actors.

You really couldn't ask for a better actor-director working relationship. At least as far as I'm concerned.

Patrick Crowley - Producer discusses Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)

In Jurassic World: Dominion you will see the original cast members back.  You'll see Laura Dern and Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum.

Lauren and Sam Neill did their last sort of performances in this, and now they're coming back.  They are thrilled to be back.

It became apparent that at some point, we needed to get off the island because we could just sort of kept going back there.

We've been taking the dinosaurs off the island and putting them in the real world.  It's a real challenge to do it. People actually feel that they could be living in a world in which there's a raptor running down the street or there's a big, slow lumbering herb before coming down the Hollywood freeway. That's something that was really challenging and difficult to shape.

Sam Neill - "Dr. Alan Grant" discusses Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)

Ian Malcolm is everything that Grant isn't. He's articulate, comfortable around people, and celebrated in the outside world whereas Alan Grant is not a people person.

This is sort of back-to-basics in the best possible sense. We're working with 3-dimensional living breathing dinosaurs.

It's going to be funny, and exciting and you'll scream and laugh.
