One evening at a church, Father Peter (Colm Meaney) meets Victor Strong (Stephen Moyer), armed with a gun and bleeding.  Victor tells Father Peter to lock the doors.  Peter is looking to escape in order to contact the police.  Victor makes sure that Father Pete knows who’s in control.  But note....they’re not the only ones in that church.  Willow (Clare-Hope Ashitey) is hiding in the church armed and wounded.  We learn that Willow is the one who shot and wounded Victor and happens to be a policewoman.  She explains that Victor is a policeman who has gone rogue. She needs to arrest him.  The sketchy part of Willow's story is why is she here alone, with no backup, trying to arrest Victor?  Father Peter has to decide what to do.  The performances by Colm Meaney (Father Peter) and Stephen Moyer (Victor) were all right in this thriller film.  You get a decent story from beginning to end.  You might want to check it out.

In 2020, following a controversial trial that unveiled an intricate web of romance, she was convicted of murdering her partner with the help of an ex-lover. Express Review Rosa Peral, a police officer and mother of two daughters, was convicted of murdering her partner, Pedro Rodríguez. Rosa insists that it was her former lover, Albert López, who had committed the murder.  Albert claims that Rosa was the mastermind of this crime.  The jury however sentenced Rosa to 25 years in prison.  In this documentary, you get to hear Rosa Peral’s side of the story in an interview from prison.  You also see clips from the actual trial and hear from Rosa Peral’s defense attorney, the prosecutor, and several journalists. I Like Movies VHS Forever Mongrel Media Release date September 9, 2022 (TIFF) SYNOPSIS Toronto writer/director Chandler Levack makes her feature film debut with I Like Movies, a dramedy based on her experience working at a Blockbuster Video in the early 2000s.  Socially inept, Lawrence (Isaiah Lehtinen) is a 17-year-old cinephile who gets a job at the Sequels video store in Burlington, Ontario.  Anxious about his future (and desire to attend NYU’s Tisch School of Arts), Lawrence begins alienating the most important people in his life – his best friend (Percy Hynes White) and his single mother (Krista Bridges) – all the while developing a complicated friendship with his older female manager (Romina D’Ugo).  Sequels is furnished with props from a real Blockbuster, while the store’s branded colour scheme of red and teal reoccurs throughout the film.  The film is rife with references to Canada (Carleton, Cronenberg) and cinema (mentioned in almost every sentence that Lawrence utters!).

Once Laura starts getting national attention, she gets concerned and asked her daughter to disappear...
