SYNOPSIS

In Elegance Bratton's deeply moving film inspired by his own story, a young, gay Black man, rejected by his mother and with few options for his future, decides to join the Marines, doing whatever it takes to succeed in a system that would cast him aside. But even as he battles deep-seated prejudice and the grueling routines of basic training, he finds unexpected camaraderie, strength, and support in this new community, giving him a hard-earned sense of belonging that will shape his identity and forever change his life.

Becky (Erin Doherty) has a stressful life.  She is struggling with getting work, is low on funds, and dealing with a mother with dementia. In her spare time, she goes on her phone to keep an eye on social media.  She visits Instagram to essentially compare herself to others.  One of her favourites on Instagram is Chloe. Night Shyamalan.  The story follows Philadelphia married couple, Dorothy (Lauren Ambrose) and Sean Turner (Toby Kebbell), whose child (Jericho) is deceased.  Following the death of their son,  Dorothy uses a baby doll as a coping mechanism.  Before Jericho’s passing, she hired an 18-year-old Leanne Grayson (Nell Tiger Free) to be their nanny.
