#whatonwhatsgood Express Review (by Jovin Tardif | What On What's Good)

New York City Lawyer Dean Brannock (Bobby Cannavale) and successful artist Nora Brannock (Naomi Watts) buy their dream home in a suburb in New Jersey from real estate agent Karen (Jennifer Coolidge).  Their two children include 16-year-old Ellie Brannock (Isabel Gravitt) and 12-year-old Carter Brannock (Luke David Blumm).

This home is a bit unique.  It comes with threatening letters (from The Watcher) and strange neighbors including Pearl (Mia Farrow), Jasper (Terry Kinney), Mitch (Richard Kind), and Mo (Margo Martindale).

But who is The Watcher?

Here are some possible suspects.

Would Pearl Winslow (Mia Farrow) stop at nothing to keep the home the way it is?  Her goal is to preserve the history of Brannocks’ home but at what cost?

Why is Pearl's brother Jasper Winslow (Terry Kinney) so fascinated with 657 Boulevard?  Will he get caught by the family because of his obsession with the dumbwaiter in their house?

Why are Mo (Margo Martindale) and Mitch (Richard Kind) always pacing around the property lines?  Why are they watching the house from their front lawn with binoculars?

Real estate agent Karen (Jennifer Coolidge) doesn't seem to want to sell this dream home to her friend Nora. She is constantly trying to persuade the family to sell the house.  But why is Karen acting this way?

Security specialist Dakota (Henry Hunter Hall) seems to be very helpful in making the Brannocks feel safe...even after receiving the threatening letters from The Watcher?  Can we trust him?

Who is John Graff (Joe Mantello) and how is he connected to the house?

Why is Detective Chamberlain (Christopher McDonald) not helping the Brannocks’ figure out this mystery?

Should we trust the intuitions of private investigator Theodora Birch (Noma Dumezweni)?

Inspired by the true story of the infamous “Watcher” house in New Jersey.
