I kept wondering if the NBA players were actually as bad as people said, or if the media made them look worse than they were. Some players did have real problems off the court. Rasheed Wallace sometimes got into trouble, and Damon Stoudamire also had issues, including marijuana charges. That’s why the team got the nickname “Jail Blazers” during the late 1990s and early 2000s. The name came from a lot of off-court problems like drug possession, legal issues, and heated moments with referees. There were serious incidents, too. The series basically explores the rise and fall of Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos. Her goal was to create a blood diagnostic technology that will be able to run hundreds of tests on a single drop of blood. Her technology never worked. I must say, Amanda Seyfried does an amazing portrayal of Elizabeth Holmes. The story allows you to see Holmes in high school, as a college freshman, and eventually a businesswoman. If you like Netflix’s “ Inventing Anna " or Showtime’s “ Super Pumped ” you will definitely like "The Dropout".
