#whatonwhatsgood Express Review

In 'White Men Can't Jump', we are introduced to Kamal (Sinqua Walls).  Once upon a time, he was a promising high school ball player....an incident at a game destroyed his career. Now, he is working as a delivery driver. He has a wife Imani (Teyana Taylor) and a young son.

One day, Kamal meets Jeremy (Jack Harlow).  They play a quick shooting game.  What Kamal doesn't know is that Jeremy is a former college basketballer.  Jeremy ends up beating Kamal.

Later, we learn that Jeremy couldn't go pro because he has two torn ACLs.  But he still has hope that one day he will make it.

They decide to work together to challenge other basketball players in order to make money.

It's an average film.  The cast isn't bad.

I still think the original was better.

It is a remake of the 1992 film of the same name.
