A handwritten note is left with his wife, Hannah Michaels (Jennifer Garner) instructing her to “PROTECT HER”.   The “her” is Bailey, Owen’s 16-year-old daughter. 

Hannah and her stepdaughter, Bailey (Angourie Rice) go on a journey to search for Owen.

What happened to Owen?  Did something happen to him?
