Julianne Moore who plays "Heidi Hansen" discusses being a part of Dear Evan Hansen
"I'm so grateful to be part of this amazing film. It's a musical that I love so much. That my kids love so much. It is about what it means to be a young person today at a time when you don't always know who you are and what your relationships are all about. I'm grateful to be a part of it."
Danny Pino who plays "Larry Mora" discusses Dear Evan Hansen
"The movie has a lot to do with loss and death."
"It's also a movie about life and how to live and the importance of that."
"There is quite literally an army of people. Who care about you and who are there to support you."
Amy Adams discusses her character "Cynthia Murphy"
"It was challenging but also really beautiful to get to play somebody who believes so deeply in her son's potential."
Colton Ryan who plays "Connor Murphy" discusses Dear Evan Hansen
"I mean I still cry watching it. Something is like a punch in the gut. I don't think before Evan Hansen a lot of people were talking about young people in the way they feel."
Kaitlyn Dever discusses her character "Zoe Murphy" and being a part of the film
"Zoe is actually a woman that I would aspire to be. She's the kind of girl that sort of really doesn't care what anybody thinks. I pulled a lot from my high school life and those anxieties in those pressures you feel as a teenager. Trying to figure out who you are and what your places in the world are and realising later ... Now you're still figuring out who you are. I don't know if that'll ever change."
"It's one of those stories that's really kind to everybody whether you're a father or a mother or a sister or a friend. If you are dealing with anxiety or if you're feeling alone or isolated or if you're grieving there is a character in this story for everybody. I think what struck a nerve with so many people is that it really allowed people to feel seen and feel heard for the first time. It's really powerful and that's one of the many reasons why I wanted to be a part of it."
Nik Dodani who plays "Jared Kalwani" discusses Dear Evan Hansen
"I hope that what people take away from this film is that you are not alone."
